How to Opt In or Out of SMS Texts in Ballot Bliss

Managing your SMS preferences in Ballot Bliss is simple and fully in your control. Whether you want to receive ballot invitations, reminder notices, and election updates, or limit certain communications, you can easily opt in or out at any time. This guide walks you through how to update your SMS settings, so you receive the notifications that matter most to you.


For Voters

If you are a homeowner or voter in your community, follow these steps:

Step 1

Log in to your Ballot Bliss account.

Step 2

Click Your Information and select Profile.


Step 3

On your Profile page, click Edit.


Step 4

Enter your phone number into the Text (SMS) Phone Number field


Step 5

Scroll down to Communication Preferences.

  • To opt in, check the box next to Text (SMS) Phone.

  • To opt out, uncheck the Text (SMS) Phone option.


Click Save to confirm your changes.

For Managers or Administrators

If you are a community manager or administrator, the process is similar, but you must get explicit permission from your resident to opt-in:

Step 1

Log in to your Ballot Bliss account.

Step 2

Click your name in the upper-right corner and select Update Your Profile from the dropdown menu.


Step 3

On your Occupant Detail page, click Edit.

Step 4

Enter your phone number into the Text (SMS) Phone Number field.


Step 5

Scroll down to Communication Preferences.

  • To opt in, check the box next to Text (SMS) Phone.

  • To opt out, uncheck the Text (SMS) Phone option.


Click Save to apply your changes

How to Unsubscribe from SMS Text Messages

You can also opt out of SMS notifications directly from your phone.

Step 1

Open a Ballot Bliss text message sent from your community.

Step 2

Reply STOP to the message.

Once you reply STOP, you will be automatically unsubscribed from future SMS notifications from Ballot Bliss for that community.

If you change your mind later, you can log in to your Ballot Bliss account to re-enable SMS notifications in your profile settings.
